Before taking lessons, I didn't know anything about YOGA. I had the impression that it is an exercice, and that one has to be very flexible in order to do it.
I learned that YOGA is not an exercice, but it is a way of life, and that it is not enough just to do the YOGA positions, You have to concentrate on breathing, and empty your mind, and be positive thinker.
It made me realize how little time I had in my life to truly relax and to put everything out of my mind. The busier I get, the more irritated I became, and little things started to bother me and made me think negatively. It usually became a bad cycle, and it also made me eat too much.
It gave me a chance to reflect on my daily life, how I could better spend my energy and time. Through the lessons, I learned to take 10 or 15 minutes a day (although sometimes I forget...) to clear my mind by duoing YOGA. I hope to be able to continue this as a habit, and see positive results from doing so.
