PRAYER APPEAL FOR THE VICTIMS OF TSUNAMI FROM VIETNAM

My dear sisters and brothers,
During the last week, we continuously saw in TV and read newspaper the news of Tsunami and Earthquake in some countries in Asia.
I am sure when watching the news; you must be feeling your hearts moving differently with pain, uneasiness, empathy and urgec
Whatever feeling may be, perhaps we all experienced our throats be choked, our hearts seemed to beat stronger. The victims and the affected people of this catastrophe, even staying thousands km far distance, are not so far from us. It is because in this modern time, communication is so fast; the proof is that we now can hear the numbers of the death increasing every hour and every day.
I believe that you all by one or another ways are turning our hearts toward the victims and I am sure that you also have concrete actions helping them. I
I still remember the theme of Christmas Evening Party 2004 for disable people gJoint and Shareh. This theme does not end at Christmas night, but continue until now. The recent catastrophe invites us to take part into gJoint and Shareh with those who have been reluctantly affected by this calamity.
With my simple and humble thought, I appeal you support and participation. As we know the majestic greatness of natural waves had turned to atrocious when taking away hundred thousand of people and left behind it extremely terrible aftermaths, many islands and houses were rubbed offc
Through this letter, I would like to create an other wave that will be as strong as the tsunami on Dec. 26, and even stronger than that. This is a wave of prayer with your heartfelt participation.
During these days, in many places in the world and in Vietnam herself, there are many minds, hearts and actions, which have practically contributed to assist the victims. Some one may put a question to me, if only praying, is there any benefit? While people are in urgent needs of food, clothes, medicine and psychological support..
Yes, I do agree those are their great needs. You and I, according to our capacity, can offer our help, for example to join in the appeal of Tuoi Tre Newspaper.
I believe human heart and I believe love that crosses over every border. Thus, that is a reason of my writing here, to invite you to join me in rising up the wave of prayer, for our love is to not only combine hearts of people but also be involved in Godfs heart, the One whose name is Love. In addition, the action is now done not only by human beings but also by God. The prayer itself has a power to vibrate in each heart a sense of sharing, and then make it become actual actions of hands and feet, bandage wounds, lessen pain and evoke hopec These are what we need to do so.
I understand your busy schedule in daily life, therefore I would only like you to request you to spend your 10 minutes each day to pray specially for the victims. Prayer time depends on your arrangement, yet it should be done continuously within a week, from January 3 to 10, 2005. Thus, we can see, if the tsunami had happen in a short period of time, our prayers will be taken place continuously each minute and hour, and in any place of your presence. If you wish to carry out this invitation for longer time, you may do so, how wonderful it is!
